IoT-Based Passenger Authentication System For Transportation Services

The IoT-enabled E-Bus Booking and Authentication System is developed to provide a secure and convenient travel experience, especially for working individuals living away from their hometowns. In this system, users register online by submitting their personal details and answering five general security questions. After successful registration, a unique RFID tag is generated for each user. To board the bus, the user scans this RFID tag, triggering a random security question. Upon answering correctly, an OTP is sent to their registered mobile number. Entering the correct OTP unlocks the bus door, allowing entry. This multi-factor authentication process—combining RFID, personal questions, and OTP—ensures secure access while maintaining user data for future personalization.
